Memphis Fashion Week: The Gem of Fashion in Our Wonderful City
When most think fashion, they think New York, Paris, Milan, etc. For some reason people forget about the smaller cities. Memphis has so much more to offer than just BBQ and music. Our fashion community is beyond astounding. It was truly an honor to attend this year’s fashion week as an influencer. I attended one in the past as an agent and sponsor, but it was so different being on this end of things this go round. I will walk you through the phenomenal journey that I had. I hope you enjoy….
FASHION NIGHT OUT
Fashion Night Out was a great night of seeing familiar faces and meeting brand new people. There’s also a joy in finally meeting and connecting with other fashion industry professionals that you have met on social media in person. There were so really great vendors selling beautiful clothing, handbags, accessories, baking goods, etc. I will show you all some of my fav vendors further down in the Trunk Show portion, but here are a few pics and videos from FNO:

@ The Hu Hotel
Later that night after the FNO cocktail party, I attended an after party at hosted by The Scout Guide at the Hu Hotel in Downtown Memphis. It is a newly opened hotel and it had a nice ambiance. We didn’t let the weather rain on our parade. The crowd came inside and it actually caused people to mingle a bit more. One of my former high school classmates bumped right into me and we had a great time catching up. Shoutout to my girl Jenni for taking these fun photos of me. She was a real trooper. Might I add she is an amazing stylist, designer, and serial entrepreneur! The two of these amazing individuals can be seen in my pic thread below.
LRK FEATURED DESIGNERS RUNWAY SHOW
The designers were absolutely fabulous! We had some local designers as well as some designers that flew in to showcase their pieces. If you have never been to a Memphis Fashion Week event, they always have love mannequin models dressed in various local sponsored shops in the Memphis area. It is a great way for the attendees to see and experience first hand stores that they may have never heard of or thought to visit. This is actually one of my favorite parts of the shows. People don’t realize how hard it is to be a mannequin model. I was one for the first 5 years of my modeling career, and II highly commend those models. They did it with such poise and grace. Some of the pieces worn were definitely eye catching.
Here’s a list of the LRK designers that displayed their pieces and links to their social media and/or websites:
